Postal Worker Hit, Killed By Car

A postal worker was struck and killed by a car in Parma Heights on Thursday.

According to police, the mail carrier was crossing York Road before Independence when he was struck by a 1990 Acura driven by a 19-year-old.

The victim was taken to Parma Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A U.S. Postal Service representive identified the victim as 42-year-old David Dunafee of Brunswick.

The accident is under investigation.
