UPDATED: 4:07 pm EST February 6, 2008

An explosion at an east-side house Wednesday afternoon blew out one of the home's walls.

Fire and gas company officials said they don't know what caused the side of the East 59th Street home to explode.

The home is still standing, but the kitchen wall was completely destroyed. Nobody was hurt.

Neighbors said it sounded like a car hit the house.

Dominion East Ohio Gas said it was an isolated explosion. It may not be until Thursday that officials will be able to determine what happened.
