Popular Bar Owner Dies In Fire

CLEVELAND -- A Cleveland bar owner was killed in a fire that hit his westside business on Sunday.The fire broke out at about 7 a.m. at the Lion's Pub on Lorain Avenue at West 127th Street.Officials said Harry "Sonny" Wagner, 57, was found dead in the basement of the building.Wagner owned the bar for about 25 years.Residents in the neighborhood said he will be missed."He helped everybody in the neighborhood. As an incident last winter, I was stuck out here in my drive and he came over and helped us out so that we could get out of our drive with plowing for us and the other neighbors," said Ernie Paloney.Fire investigators are trying to determine how the blaze started.
