UPDATED: 2:14 pm EST January 24, 2008

The Summit County Sheriff's Department said Thursday that felony charges are being filed in connection with an armed robbery ring.

Akron residents Richard Delaney and Timmie D. Hubbard, both 19, are being charged with aggravated robbery.

Authorities believe the men are responsible for a recent string of armed robberies at gas stations, cell phone stores and fast-food restaurants.

The robberies all involved two to three masked men with handguns threatening workers and demanding money, and all occurred between November 2007 and January 2008.

The multi-jurisdictional investigation is ongoing and more arrests and charges are possible.

Anyone with information should contact the Summit County Sheriff's Department or call Crime Stoppers at 330-434-2677.
