CLEVELAND -- Police are seeking shooters in connection with two separate shootings in Cleveland early Monday morning. In the first shooting, police are searching for an 18-year-old suspect who investigators said shot a man in the back during an argument over a car repair bill. The shooting happened on West 14th and Denison Avenue, behind Gino's bar. Police said Marquis Wise, 36, was rushed to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he is listed in good condition after surgery. Tavern owner Gino Summa said crime in the Jennings Freeway neighborhood is frustrating. "I don't like it at all because there's always the possibility of children getting hurt or maimed, mangled for the rest of their lives," Summa said. "There's innocent people involved generally. It doesn't belong in our society, but it's there and it's something we gotta cope with." If you were in the area Sunday night and have any information about the shooting, contact the Cleveland Police Department. Another shooting happened about 4 a.m. at East 68th Street and Superior Avenue. That victim was shot in the leg. The details surrounding that shooting are unknown.
