There were two shootings on the city's east side Thursday night.

Jeffrey Davis, 18, was injured in a shooting on East 119th Street. He was riding with a friend in a minivan on East 119th Street at about 10 p.m. when the rear window of the van was shot out.

Davis was shot in the back. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. There is no word on his condition.

Police said Davis had recently dropped off his girlfriend and was involved in an argument with four males in a dark-colored vehicle.

No one was arrested.

Another shooting early Friday morning at J Roy's Lounge and Deli left Abdul Appling, 28, and Dwayne Wilder, 27, injured with gunshot wounds. They were both taken to MetroHealth Medical Center.

A bar employee told police that the shooting happened after a fight between bar patrons at about 12:15 a.m.

Police are seeking a 25-year-old black man in connection with the shooting. His nickname is Poo Poo.
