There were some scary moments for a local woman after she was carjacked in the Summit Mall parking lot in Akron.

Becky Jacobs, who is six months pregnant with her second child, said a man and a woman approached her and pulled a gun on her before she could get out of her car at about 2:30 p.m. Monday.

"Oh, my baby and my life, and then you basically do what you do, which is run," Jacobs said.

Jacobs fell while while running into the mall but was not hurt.

Her car was later stopped by Akron police and the driver is in custody. However, police believe he got the car from the people involved in the carjacking.

Police said the man and woman are still at large.

Investigator Ron Regan recently reported on crime at area malls. Read his report.
