Cleveland investigators are searching for the person who shot and killed a Glenville High School sophomore on the city's east side.

Ja'shawn Richardson, 16, died Saturday afternoon from a gunshot wound, NewsChannel5 reported.

The shooting happened at 12:45 p.m. about a block away from the teen's Grantwood home in the Glenville neighborhood.

Investigators said someone robbed Richardson and a 14-year-old boy at gunpoint near East 108th Street and Tacoma. When the boys started running, police said, the robber shot and killed Richardson.

Officials are investigating. No arrests have been made.
