UPDATED: 9:25 am EST November 27, 2007

Authorities in Pepper Pike are investigating an alleged sexual assault of a student at Ursuline College.

The assault was reported on Sunday and allegedly involved the student and a family member at one of the college's residence halls.

The victim underwent an examination at Hillcrest Hospital.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up on the campus.

Students WEWS spoke to said they were not afraid.

"I'm a little nervous, but I feel I'm pretty safe on campus," Melanie Sumlin said. "It definitely makes you cautious and to be aware of your surroundings especially because I have a night class, so I always try to park by a light but I see security all the time so I feel pretty safe on the campus."

Police are continuing their investigation.

School officials said security is being increased on campus as a result of the incident.
