The entire police department at an Ohio university has resigned, the Ohio News Network reported.

Officials at Clark State University in Springfield said every member of the force quit on Friday.

The department includes the chief, two full-time employees and five part-timers.

Right now, there is no word on what led to the sudden resignations.

Springfield's police chief said his department will now patrol the campus.
