UPDATED: 7:49 am EDT October 16, 2007

Fire and CSX Railroad officials will be at the site of a train derailment Monday night and Tuesday in order to burn off excess fuel.

Painesville officials said the burning of the liquid petroleum gas will create a large blaze visible in the surrounding areas, and that residents should not be alarmed by it.

The train derailment that took place last Wednesday caused a large fire that burned for more than 24 hours and prompted thousands of residents in surrounding areas to be evacuated.
