CLEVELAND -- The five people injured in Wednesday's Cleveland school shooting are all doing well and are expected to make full recoveries, NewsChannel5's Alicia Booth reported.Four of the victims were shot and the fifth hurt her back when she was trying to get away.Teacher Michael Grassie, 42, is still hospitalized after being shot in the chest.Grassie's surgeon at MetroHealth Medical Center said his patient is in a lot of pain and is still very upset about what happened. But he is recovering from a very close call.Within minutes of his arrival, the teacher was in surgery, having the bullet removed. It was a difficult surgery. The bullet just missed his aorta and went right through his spleen and pancreas. In one regard, he's lucky, but that's not exactly how his surgeon sees it."He's got a scar from here to here, he's hurting a lot upstairs now. He's in a lot of pain, so in the big spectrum of things, he's not that fortunate," said Dr. Jeffrey Claridge.Grassie's first concern was for the other victims.David Kachodourian, 57, left Metro on Wednesday with a shoulder wound.Darnell Rodgers, 18, was shot in the elbow and has also been discharged.Michael Peek, 15, was shot in the abdomen and left Rainbow Babies and Chidren's Hospital at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, and 15-year-old Trinnietta McGrady is expected to be released soon.Grassie is still at Metro and is expected to remain there about a week, barring any complications.
