Police Say Officer's Gun Accidentally Went Off During Stop

A Cleveland police officer accidentally discharged his weapon Sunday, NewsChannel5 reported.

Police said the officer stopped a suspected stolen car at about 1:30 p.m. at East 123rd Street and Kinsman Avenue, and when the driver ran, the officer's weapon went off.

No one was injured. The incident is under investigation.

Police are still searching for the suspect.
