2 People Shot At Cleveland Heights UDF

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio -- One person is listed in serious condition at Huron Road Hospital after being shot at the Cleveland Heights United Dairy Farmer early Friday morning.Curtis Gay Jr., 42, was shot in the stomach. His son, Lerray Eddy, 22, was shot in the leg. Christopher Morris, 18, was charged with two counts of attempted murder in connection with the shootings.Police said the shooting happened about 12:30 a.m. when Morris allegedly confronted Gay who was with his daughter, 13, and nephew, 11. Police called the encounter was "provocative," but Gay told Morris and everyone else to go home. Officials said Morris pulled a gun on Gay, but he fled the scene.About 10 minutes later, Morris confronted Gay in the parking lot of UDF and shots were fired.Police said Morris and another man fled the scene. The other person is unknown at this time.Morris was also wanted on outstanding juvenile court warrants in connection with a robbery and carjacking.
