CLEVELAND -- An ongoing feud erupted in gunfire on the city's southwest side on the Fourth of July, police said. According to police, Terry Hough, 35, who is a firefighter, complained about a loud party at his neighbors' house. There was allegedly a confrontation, and Hough returned to his home to get a gun, officials said. Five people were shot and left lying in the home's driveway of the Sky Lane Drive home at about midnight, NewsChannel5 reported. Three people were fatally shot, and two others were injured. Officials said there were several noise complaints logged from 2003 to 2005. There was not a noise complaint filed on Wednesday before the shooting, however. After the shooting, an off-duty police officer who heard the gunfire arrested Hough after going into Hough's home. Officials said he was sitting at a table with the gun in front of him. Hough was arrested without incident.Jake Feichtner, 24, a University of Akron student, was one of the people killed. He was shot in the chest. He lived at the home on Sky Lane Drive. Also killed were Katherine Rosby, 27, and Bruce Anderson, 30. They were both shot in the back. Rosby was a friend of Feichtner's. Her family owns the Rosby Greenhouse and Berry Farm. Anderson was Rosby's friend. Meanwhile, Mayor Frank Jackson released a statement about the city's violence. "The events that happened on the Fourth of July are both tragic and unfortunate. My sincerest sympathies go out to the families and communities that were touched by those incidents. Please be assured that law enforcement is fully investigating each case," Jackson said.
