Cleveland Firefighter Accused Of Killing Neighbors

12 Weapons Removed From Home

A neighborhood dispute on Cleveland's west side turned deadly Thursday morning, NewsChannel5 reported.

Three people were killed and two injured during a shooting on Sky Lane Drive at 12:10 a.m.

Police said a Cleveland firefighter was arrested by an off-duty Cleveland police officer.

They said 35-year-old Terrance Hough Jr. was a neighbor who got into a dispute and confrontation with the victims. Police said a loud party was going on.

Police had said Hough asked the neighbors to keep the noise down as they were setting off fireworks. When they didn't stop, they said, he took out a gun and opened fire.

Jake Feichtner, 24, a University of Akron student, was one of the people killed. He was shot in the chest. He lived at the home on Sky Lane Drive. Also killed were Katherine Rosby, 27, and Bruce Anderson, 30. They were both shot in the back.

Rosby was a friend of Feichtner's. Her family owns the Rosby Greenhouse and Berry Farm. Anderson was Rosby's friend.

Feichtner's family said that his mother, Deborah, was killed in 1991 when Jake was riding in the car with her and a brick was thrown off a Cleveland overpass.

A sign in the window of the home says, "Jake rest in eternal peace in your mom's arms."

The Feichtner family released a statement saying they are "shocked and saddened by the senseless violence of last night."

Witnesses said Donnie Walsh was shot in the elbow when he jumped in front of his girlfriend to save her from the gunfire. They were treated and released from MetroHealth Medical Center.

Police said all of the victims were in their 20s.

Hough works at Fire House No. 33 on West 117th Street. Officials said he is married and has two children.

Police said that 12 weapons, seven handguns and five long guns, were removed from his home.

Hough's father is also an active Cleveland firefighter, and his deceased father-in-law was a retired firefighter.

He has been with the department for 12 years. Hough has not been charged.

His fellow firefighters are in shock. They said he was an average guy who "came in, did his job, caused no problems and went home."

Police continue their investigation.
