Pregnant Teen Killed By Car Drag Racing

ASHTABULA, Ohio -- A local community is outraged after a pregnant teen was struck and killed and the suspect is out of jail on bond.Ashtabula investigators said Tasha Moore was killed while two cars were drag racing.
Pregnant Teen Killed Kalen Stewart, 18, was charged with involuntary manslaughter, street racing and reckless driving. Ashtabula police said it happened at the corner of Route 20 and Station Avenue at about 9 p.m. Wednesday. She was four months pregnant at the time. Now flowers, notes and stuffed animal create a memorial at the location of the accident. Lolita Moore said she doesn't remember anything after seeing her daughter lying in the hospital bed. "I opened the curtain and all i seen was blood. All i seen was blood all over my baby's face," she said. "I knew she wasn't going to make it. I knew when i looked at her that she wasn't going to make it."The case is still under investigation. Contact Ashtabula police if you have any information.
