LAKE TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- The FBI has joined the Stark County Sheriff's Department in the search for a missing 9-month pregnant woman. In a Monday afternoon news conference, authorities said that they have no persons of interest or suspects in connection with the disappearance of 26-year-old Jessie Marie Davis. The last communication with Davis was Wednesday at about 9:20 p.m. Her mother said she tried to reach her several times before going to the home at 8 a.m. Friday. The Lake Township woman is due to give birth in two weeks. Her mother showed up at her daughter's home to find Davis's 2-year-old son alone and the home in disarray. Authorities said there was no sign of a struggle and that they are treating this as a missing persons case. Police said there was evidence of foul play becasue of the fact that Davis's son had been left alone, something family said would be out of character for the woman. Her young son keeps repeating the same chilling words. "Blake kept saying, 'Mommy was crying, mommy broke the table and mommy's in the rug,'" said Patty Porter, Davis's mother."Mommy, mommy, broke the table," Her son Blake said. The 2-year-old may be the only witness to what happened, police said. Investigators will try to get cell phone records to establish a timeline of when Davis disappeared. Her mother talked to her Wednesday night and tried repeatedly on Thursday to get a hold of her. For the 26-year-old's family, the past few days have been agonizing. "There's a hole there and it just hurts my heart because I mean she's the one you look up to, she's your big sister and she's such a strong person," said Whitney Dave, Davis's sister. Davis is a single mom raising her son. She was days away from giving birth to a baby girl she already named Chloe. Officials said she vanished under mysterious circumstances. "I don't know what could have happened to her," said Porter. When Porter stopped by Davis's house Friday to check on her, she found Blake home alone, soiled and hungry. She said he was repeating strange phrases like, "Mommy's in the rug." and "Mommy broke the table." Police said a comforter and sheets were missing from the bedroom, along with her cell phone. They also found bleach poured on the floor. "Jessie's vehicle was still there, her purse is still there," said Sgt. Terry Curry with the Stark County Sheriff's Office. Police have questioned the father of Davis's unborn child, Bobby Cutts Jr. He is a married Canton police officer, who's also Blake's father. They said he's now separated from his wife, and that she knew Davis was having his baby.Cutts told NewsChannel5's Bob Jones that he was too upset to do an interview. Jones said he sounded very distraught. Police said he was helping in the search for Davis. They said that neither Cutts nor his estranged wife are suspected, saying that both have cooperated with police. Volunteers, family and friends spent the weekend searching for her. Her family said they haven't slept for days. "She would have never left Blake. She was an amazing mother," Whitney said. There are no immediate plans for another organized search.Davis's family said they still hold out hope she'll be found in time for the arrival of the baby. Davis is 5 feet 4 inches tall and 135 pounds. She has brown hair with blond highlights and hazel eyes.
