EUCLID, Ohio -- Euclid police are looking for the person who shot and killed a new father during a botched robbery.

Jermayne Mitchell, 27, was shot in the head and killed near the Park Side Gardens Apartments on April 26.

Police said Mitchell was talking to a friend when the incident happened. They said his last words were, "I told them I didn't have anything."

Now, Mitchell's father wants the killer caught before someone else is killed.

"My son was a great son. He loved his 6-month-old son. He was there when he was born and cut the umbilical cord. He was raised with discipline in a good family. He loved life," said the Rev. Henry Mitchell.
