GATES MILLS, OHIO -- Singer Eric Carmen was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving Saturday night, police say.

Officers said Carmen, 57, of Gates Mills, was charged with DUI after being spotted at about 9:30 p.m. on SOM Center Road.

A witness said Carmen's Lexus sport utility vehicle was all over the road. He allegedly hit a mailbox and a sign. Police said no one was injured.

Carmen was part of the 1970s group the Rasberries before launching a solo career in 1975. His first solo album included the hit "All By Myself." Other hits included "Go All The Way" and "Hungry Eyes."

The case is still under investigation.
