Police arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with stealing receipts from a Weight Watchers meeting Tuesday night.

Officials said the receipts were stolen from St. Annes Episcopal Church in Madison.

Four women counting receipts from a Weight Watchers meeting told officials that a man came into the church asking use the telephone because his car had broken down.

He was allowed inside the church and then forcibly took the receipt envelope from one of the Weight Watchers representatives.

He was seen leaving the area in a red pickup truck, and officials were later able to arrest him after a short pursuit.

The man faces several charges. He is being held in the Lake County Jail.
