T.J. Maxx Hires Two Security Experts

T.J. Maxx officials say that the company has experienced unauthorized access to its computer systems, according to a letter issued by Ben Cammarata, the company's acting chief executive officer.

The systems process and store information about customer transactions, which includes credit and debit card information.

Officials have alerted law enforcement authorities and an investigation is under way.

The letter said the store has hired two computer security experts to help us strengthen the security of the system.

TJX Cos. Inc also operates Marshalls, HomeGoods, and A.J. Wright stores.
