The old park is now an apartment complex and police said the woman that hit it is a resident. Police said the driver of the car that smashed into the arch is 30-year-old Arlyce Clemmons, who is being cited with leaving the scene of an accident and failure to control her automobile.Clemmons told police that she hit the arch after trying to avoid a car that almost hit her.
