A woman was shot during a robbery at a local bank Friday morning, officials said.

The woman is an assistant manager at the Charter One Bank, located at East 200th Street and Westport Avenue in Euclid.

She has been identified as 50-year-old Gwen Washington, a 21-year bank employee. She is in fair condition at Huron Hospital.

Surveillance cameras captured three masked gunmen in dark clothing. Two of the men had handguns. Officials said the third was armed with a shotgun, and a shell found on the floor indicates that he fired his weapon.

The victim's husband said his wife was shot a point-blank range. Investigators said there appears to be no motive for the shooting.

"As far as we know, everyone was following orders inside the bank. Everybody was staying put. We don't know the reason why the individual was shot," said Scott Wilson, of the FBI.

Officials said the gunmen fled the bank with an undetermined amount of money and possibly a red-dye bag that may have exploded and tainted the cash.

The alleged getaway car was found on East 118th Street and had been reported stolen before the robbery.

Investigators said they believe that after the robbers dumped the getaway car, they left in a four-door white Chrysler with a black top and rust.

Officials said there were four employees and one customer inside the bank during the holdup.
