EUCLID, Ohio -- Creatures big and small and their humans turned out for a pet blessing in Euclid on Saturday, NewsChannel5 reported.

The annual blessing of the animals took place at St. Christine Church.

Christians celebrate the feast of St. Francis of Assi on Oct. 4. St. Francis of Assisi is the patron saint of animals.

Pet owners took their dogs, cats, fish and other furry friends for a prayer and a blessing.
