Magic Ink Pietrus

Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - The Orlando Magic signed free agent guard/forward Mickael Pietrus, general manager Otis Smith announced Thursday. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 6-foot-6, 215-pound Pietrus averaged 7.2 points and 3.7 rebounds in 66 games last season with Golden State.

"Mickael brings versatility and athleticism to our roster," said Smith. "He is a solid defender who will fit in very well with our team. We are excited to add Mickael and feel he can help us reach our ultimate goal."

He was originally selected 11th overall by the Warriors in the 2003 NBA Draft. In 310 career regular season games, all with Golden State, Pietrus has averaged 8.6 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.
