LIST: Free coffee on National Coffee Day

The International Coffee Organization sets a number of dates for countries to celebrate "National Coffee Day." Sept. 29 is the designated date for the U.S., Japan, South Africa and a number of other nations.

You can score free coffee at a number of national chains, including:

  • Dunkin' Donuts- Free medium cup of hot or iced dark roast coffee
  • Krispy Kreme- Free small coffee and free glazed donut
  • Peet’s Coffee & Tea- Free small cup of Peet's Major Dickason Blend with any purchase of a baked good, oatmeal or fresh fruit 
  • GetGo- Free cup of coffee with download of app
  • Sheetz- Free Kick in the Beans coffee
  • Caribou Coffee- For every cup of Amy's Blend coffee purchase, Caribou will donate a cup of coffee to nurses and families in cancer centers across the country
  • Whole Foods- 12-ounce cup of coffee for 25 cents
  • Tim Hortons- Any size coffee in regular or dark roast for $1
  • Panera Bread- Reward members can get free coffee through all of September
  • Starbucks- No free coffee here but the coffee chain will plant one tree for every bag of coffee purchased
