More quality, less quantity: Jack Daniels, Kamchatka perched atop 2013's most-bought list

Ohioans spend more to drink, good sign for economy

The Ohio Department of Commerce released statistics for state-wide liquor sales for 2013 that shows promise for consumer spending.

Spirituous liquor buyers are spending more on quality liquors, while consuming at a lower rate.

The Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Liquor Control announced the 2013 liquor sales numbers, and Jack Daniels came out on top last year for the first time in several years.

Kamchatka Vodka has dominated the liquor market since at least 2010, when it sold over 408,000 gallons of liquor. In 2013, that number had dropped to 294,000 - and Jack Daniels has sold 351,000.
