FTC, partners kick off first annual Military Consumer Protection Day

A new program designed to protect active duty military members and veterans from scams is set to debut.

Wednesday, July 17 marks the first Military Consumer Protection Day, coordinated by the Federal Trade Commission and other consumer organizations.

MCPD highlights free national and local consumer protection resources for military members. These resources can also help the military community guard themselves against consumer fraud and make better-informed decisions when managing and spending their money.
