Gas prices go up 8 cents in Northeast Ohio

Gas prices have risen eight cents per gallon in Northeast Ohio, according to AAA. 

The price is hovering around $2.00 a gallon on Monday, AAAs fuel gage report states. Last week the average price it listed for the region was $1.92.
 
For the week of April 13, the report lists the national average at $2.34. Though it was only by around one cent, the average gas price declined nationwide on the week for the first time in almost two months, the motor club reported. 
 
The U.S. Energy Information Administration's is scheduled to release its latest information on gas prices Monday. It's last posted figures, on April 4, show the price per gallon down 33 cents a gallon from one year ago.
