KNOXVILLE, Ohio - Dee Haslam is a Knoxville business woman who has built her production company into a successful and nationally respected enterprise.
She and her husband are two of the city's biggest celebrities. But events of the past two weeks have been among the couple's most troubling and challenging moments.
In an exclusive interview, Dee Haslam admits the FBI probe into her husband's business "has been hard" on them both.
"I'm not saying this has not been hard," she said. "It has."
On Thursday, the legal troubles continued.
A motion requesting a temporary restraining order was filed to stop her husband from contacting trucking companies who claim they were cheated by Pilot Flying J. A hearing on the motion will be held in Knoxville on Monday.
Meanwhile, the attorney representing trucking companies suing Pilot Flying J said he has at least five additional trucking companies coming forward, alleging they were not paid thousands in rebates.
"It's easy to be a leader when things are going great," said Dee Haslam referring to her husband.
"It's a lot tougher when things are not, and Jimmy's been a great leader."
