COLUMBUS -- Ohioans can feel good about filling up, because AAA said the state now has the nation's lowest gasoline prices. The auto club said at Ohio stations, a gallon of regular now averages $2.29 a gallon, about 30 cents below the national average.AAA said gas prices have been falling nationwide because the end of the summer driving season has brought a drop in demand. The Ohio Petroleum Council says prices are low in the Buckeye State because there's so much competition, especially from retailers such as Wal-Mart and Giant Eagle that sell fuel.
