Company Has Yet To Announce Which Stores Will Be Closed

UPDATED: 12:06 p.m. EST March 9, 2000

Four more Dillard's stores in the Cleveland area are in jeopardy of closing.

It was announced Wednesday that Dillard's planned to close eight stores including the one at Parmatown Mall.

NewsChannel5 has learned that the other store affected are in Toledo; Baton Rouge, La. and Pensacola, Fla.

However, it is not known where the other four stores are located.

It is believe that the most vulnerable stores in northeast Ohio are the downtown and the Euclid Square Mall locations.

The Arkansas-based owner of Dillard's says that the stores are closing because they are loosing money.

The Parmatown store is scheduled to close in about two weeks. It will put 140 full-and part-time workers out of jobs.

Parmatown officials say that they are in talks to find a new anchor store for the mall.
