Taurus Driver Bought Winning Mega Millions Ticket

Winner Has 180 Days To Claim Prize

POSTED: 3:19 pm EST December 31, 2003

Jack Shah needs two phones to handle all the calls he's getting, NewsChannel5 reported.

Shah is the owner of the store where a $155 million Mega Millions lottery ticket was sold.

The ticket purchaser still hasn't claimed the money.

"He's got glasses on. He drives a Ford Taurus," Shah said.

But there are plenty of Ford Taurus in South Euclid.

The mystery man who drives a Taurus reportedly slipped into the store this morning.

"He walks in (and) said, 'What's the number? (He said) he had the winning ticket. (He) put the ticket in his pocket and walked out," Shah said.

Lottery officials said the mystery winner has 180 days to claim his prize. And those who drive a Ford Taurus know what they would do with the money.

The winner is entitled to a $95 million cash payment.

"I would give a nice chunk to local charities because Cleveland is hurting really bad," said a Taurus owner.
