CLEVELAND -- Circuit City last week began liquidation sales at 150 stores, including a half dozen near Cleveland and Akron.

The companies is now filing for Chapter 11 to keep creditors off its back as it tries to keep its remaining stores open.

Circuit City said customers should not notice any changes.

CNN reported with any bankrupt store, think twice before buying a gift card or extended warranty. There is no guarantee the company will still be around in two years.
