Nordstrom Warns Customers About Hoax

Nordstrom officials are warning customers about an e-mail hoax.

The e-mail claims that shoppers can buy Nordstrom makeup for $1, NewsChannel5 consumer reporter John Matarese said.

It said Nordstrom bought the makeup brand e.l.f. -- eyes, lips, face.

However, Nordstrom said the e-mail claim is bogus. The store said it has not bought e.l.f. makeup and does not sell it.

Matarese said that e.l.f. is a cheap brand that has always run $1 promotions.
