CLEVELAND -- Do you ever want to find your husband or wife, but don't want to talk to him or her?
NewsChannel5 reported that a new service called "Find Friends" from AT&T Wireless turns your cell phone into a locator device.
To check on the whereabouts of friends or loved ones, you call them, but you don't actually talk to them.
"They get a request to be found," said John Mendez of AT&T Wireless. "They say, 'yes' to that request. On top of that, the phone says, 'Are you sure you want to be found?' and they say 'yes' again."
If you say 'yes', the information comes up on your caller's phone display screen.
"Find Friends" adds about $3 to the typical AT&T plan.
