CLEVELAND -- Police are investigating two separate shootings.

One shooting is believed to have happened as part of an attempted robbery on the city's east side.

A 29-year-old man was shot in the back near East 92nd Street.

A MetroHealth Medical Center official confirmed that there was a gunshot victim at the hospital.

The victim's condition was unavailable.

Another person was shot at East 140th Street and Kinsman Avenue.

He was treated at SouthPointe Hospital.

Police have also towed a car to search for evidence.
