Los Angeles Dodgers (55-55) At Florida Marlins (51-59), 1:05 P.m.

(Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Dodgers take aim at their ninth straight win this afternoon as they try for their third consecutive series sweep in the finale of their three-game set with the Florida Marlins at Dolphin Stadium.

In the second game of the series on Saturday Rafael Furcal hit a bases- clearing triple and Chad Billingsley won back-to-back starts for the first time in his young career, as Los Angeles routed Florida, 10-2.

Andre Ethier recorded three hits with a pair of runs batted in and one run scored, Julio Lugo had two hits and scored twice and Kenny Lofton collected a pair of hits with an RBI and run scored for the Dodgers, whose winning streak comes on the heels of an eight-game slide.

A win today would give LA its best stretch since a 10-game winning streak from May 14-25, 2003.

The Dodgers improved to 5-0 on their current six-game road trip behind the right arm of Billingsley and another strong offensive showing from a resurgent Dodgers lineup.

Billingsley (3-3) allowed only one run on three hits with three walks and seven strikeouts in six innings of work.

Dan Uggla and Josh Willingham collected runs batted in, while Wes Helms tripled for Florida, which has dropped three of its last four games.

Josh Johnson (9-6) was hit hard in the loss, surrendering five runs on eight hits with a pair of walks and three strikeouts in only three frames.

Heading to the hill today for the Dodgers will be left-hander Mark Hendrickson, who is still searching for his first win with the Dodgers. Hendrickson, acquired from the Tampa Bay Devil Rays earlier in the season, is 0-4 in six starts with LA, while pitching to a 4.89 ERA.

Hendrickson, who has not received a decision in two career starts against Florida, earned a no-decision in his last start last Sunday against the Washington Nationals, as he gave up three runs and six hits in six innings of his team's 4-3 win.

Florida will counter with 22-year-old lefty Scott Olsen, who is unbeaten in his last six starts and is 9-4 on the season with a 3.90 ERA. Olsen did not get a decision in his last outing on Tuesday against the Mets, as he surrendered four runs and six hit sin six innings of his team's 6-5 win.

Olsen has never faced the Dodgers.

This is the first series of the season between these teams, but Florida won five of seven encounters last year.
