Lenten Fish Dinner (catered by Bruno's Ristorante) will be served at St. John Bosco Church, 6480 Pearl Rd., Parma Heights in the Bell Tower every Friday of Lent starting Feb. 24 through April 6 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Our Alaskan Pollack is hand dipped in beer batter or broiled and our pierogies are homemade. Dinners include: choice of one side (mac & cheese, cabbage & noodles, french fries, baked potato, or vegetable of the day), homemade coleslaw, roll & butter, homemade carrot cake or brownie, and a beverage (coffee, tea, or soft drink). Prices: $8.50 to $10.50. Children (under 10) = $4.50. Beer and wine served in dining room at additional cost.


The Friends of Boy Scout Troop 382 in Copley will hold a Fish Fry at Copley High School (3797 Ridgewood Rd., Copley, Ohio) on March 16 and March 30 from 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Dinner includes Lake Erie hand-breaded Perch, french fries, homemade coleslaw, dessert and beverage. Adults $9, kids 10 & under $5. Boys Scouts coming in uniform will receive $1 off per person in their party. The weekly fish fry at Yours Truly, referred to as Fish Fryday, takes place every Friday throughout 2012 at all restaurant locations, as well as on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday during the Lenten season. Lightly battered filet of cod will be served with coleslaw and cottage fries, or redskin potatoes, and may also be ordered broiled, served on a bed of spinach and onions, sautéed with lemon and extra virgin olive oil. A fish sandwich includes tartar sauce and coleslaw and, for an additional charge, may be served with cottage or sweet potato fries. Prices range from $7.50 to $9.50. Lodi American Legion Hall (120 Bank St. Lodi, Ohio) will host a fish fry every Friday night, ending on Good Friday, April 6. The fish fry will be held from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. You can also order your meal to go by calling (330) 948-1523. All profits go to the hall's Troop Care Package Program. Money raised through the event in past years have allowed the legion hall to send care packages to our servicemen and servicewomen overseas once a month.


Our Lady of Angels Church (3644 Rocky River Drive, Cleveland) will host a fish fry from 4 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. every Friday from Feb. 24 through April 6. Two pieces of handbreaded fried or baked cod with french fries, coleslaw, rolls & butter, coffee or tea will be served. Fish will be served every Friday during Lent from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., including Good Friday. We are continuing an Old Brooklyn tradition. Known for our Fish Fry dinners and pierogies, you can get a taste of them each Friday through the Lenten season. We start with fresh 8-10 oz. North Atlantic prime cut cod fillets. We hand bread each fillet and deep fry it to perfection using "0" trans-fat corn and canola oil.

We will be serving seafood, pierogies, pasta and pizza dinners on Fridays during in Lent, beginning Feb. 24 to March 30. Dinners will be served from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the church's addition. No fish fry dinner will be served on Good Friday.

Dinner prices range from $6 - $9.75 and include: freshly hand-battered fried fish, shrimp, grilled salmon; potato and cheese pierogies; and a weekly  pasta special.
