The fast food restaurant, best known for its late night hours, will temporarily provide a Power Protein Menu for Ohio customers starting in July.
That menu features burritos and other items that have a high percentage of protein and a lower amount of calories than their counterparts.
Taco Bell officials said in a news release that it realizes that its customers are more concerned about health and nutrition than ever before, and it wants the new menu to reflect that.
It will also offer healthier beverage options, including a zero-calorie, non-carbonated drink.
The company said the new menu will be on the test market for about six weeks. It hopes to make it a permanent menu - in every market- in 2014.
