A new study shows college students do not feel prepared for the workforce

BOSTON - New research shows college students do not feel adequately prepared for the workforce when they graduate.

The study conducted by Northeastern University shows 62-percent of those surveyed rated colleges' efforts to prepare students as "poor" or "fair."

This is a decrease in confidence from a similar survey conducted last year which showed the college system to be either "good" or "excellent."

Half of those in this year's survey say the quality of preparation has declined over the past 10 to 15 years, adding that colleges aren't in tune with today's job market.
