Cool Things To Do In Cleveland This Summer
You can't call your summer complete without a visit to Blossom Music Center. It's one of the finest outdoor amphitheaters in the country presenting a wide-range of concerts. It's also the summer home of the Cleveland Orchestra. It's a great place for a picnic, but just get there early. And while we're soaking up some culture, don't miss your chance to visit a local art festival. Many are juried, like the Cain Park Festival last weekend. Art festivals in Lakewood, Medina and other cities are still to come. A favorite summertime treat is your local ice cream or custard shop like Rosati's Frozen Custard. There are three different locations, one in North Olmsted, another in Northfield Center and a third in Twinsburg. Three custard machines churn out fresh frozen custard daily and there's always a flavor of the day. Owner Marsha Rosati said custard is not as frozen as ice cream, there's less air churned in and and the creamy concoction is a unique taste experience. Golf is a passion of many, and with about 100 public courses in northeast Ohio, there's plenty to chose from. Being in Cleveland means you're never far from the shores of Lake Erie. It's one of the most spectacular natural resources, and there are so many ways to enjoy it. There's swimming, boating, jet skiing, fishing, and ferry services as well.
