So Many Flower Varieties To Choose From
Lee Names Her Favorites
Inside the bachelor Button in Broadview Heights, spring is in full bloom. Owner Mark Buczak has been making floral creations for 25 years. That's where Newschannel5's Lee Jordan decided to go for top 5 flower picks. First up is the cheerful gerbera daisy. It's versatile and available in so many colors. Buczak suggested adding little pin gems to center of the daisies for a pretty holiday centerpiece. The hydrangea is her next favorite. One large bloom really makes a statement. Third is the wonderful fragrance of sweet peas. Sweet peas are just coming into season and they require only the simplest vase. Leave them loosely arranged and enjoy their heavenly perfume. Fourth on the list are cymbidium orchids. These beautiful, mesmerizing flowers are a little pricey. One stem leaded with a dozen blooms is $60. But consider the fact they'll last several weeks. Lee's absolute favorite flower? The tulip. There are dozens of varieties, a rainbow of colors, and they have graceful stems. Make sure the tulips are at room temperature, because cold air will make them snap.
