CLEVELAND -- Jack Marschall will return to "Good Morning Cleveland" Thursday morning after being off several weeks to recuperate from surgery.

Marschall was to return earlier this week, but he underestimated the time he needed for recovery.

Marschall and his daughter, Lauren, each donated a kidney last month.

All of this started when Marschall's brother-in-law needed a kidney. Marschall wasn't a match, but his daughter was.

Marschall's brother-in-law, Kenny, is also doing well. Doctors said the kidney started working immediately.

Although Lauren's kidney was given to her uncle, Marschall's kidney was donated to a stranger. That person's identity is not known.
