Ohio Sheriff's Captain Dies From H1N1 Complications

Capt. Michael Thornsberry with the Preble County Sheriff's department died Saturday after being diagnosed with H1N1.

Thornsberry fell ill on Oct. 20 with what was believed to be pneumonia, Newshannel5 sister station WCPO-TV reported.

When Thornsberry's condition worsened, he was airlifted to Indiana University Hospital on Oct. 25, where he was diagnosed with both pneumonia and H1N1.

Thornsberry was 38.

He leaves behind a wife and two daughters.
