Cuyahoga County Library Ranked No. 1

CLEVELAND -- Cuyahoga County Public Library has been ranked as No. 1 by the Hennen's American Public Library Ratings.

The local library system is ranked No. 1 among the nation's libraries that serve more than 500,000.

The annual ratings, published by independent researcher Thomas J. Hennen, Jr., were established in 1999.

The library ranked No. 2 last year.

HAPLR ratings were determined based on 15 factors of service quality and operational efficiency related to staffing, materials and circulation. A total of 9,080 libraries were included in the study.
