AKRON, Ohio -- A call center that came to Akron three years ago promising 600 jobs will just about cut its staff in half next month.NewsChannel5's news partner, The Akron Beacon Journal, reported that Tele-Performance USA will lay off 250 employees at the end of August.Teleperformance said the cuts come after a big client chose to streamline its operations.
