UPDATED: 11:07 am EDT May 20, 2008

Police stormed a Michigan home on Monday and found a 25-year-old woman who told police she was abducted from a shopping center.

The woman told police she was at a shopping center in Ann Arbor, Mich., around 10 p.m. Sunday when a man she recently met approached her and punched her in the face, reported WDIV-TV in Detroit.

The woman was taken to a home in Ypsilanti Township and tied up with duct tape, according to police.

Police went to the home based on a 911 call from the victim. Listen to the 911 call.

"I need help," the victim whispered to a 911 operator.

She told police her hands and legs were tied. She said she was able to knock a phone off the table to call for help.

At one point, the victim said she was so afraid her abductors would hear her she had to hang up. The operator convinced her to remain on the phone.

Police said that upon arrival, the deputies looked in the window and saw the woman. Ten deputies forced open the door and rescued the woman.

The deputies were attacked by a pit bull, which was shot and killed.

A 35-year-old Van Buren Township man and a 29-year-old woman were asleep in the bedroom and were taken into custody.

Neighbors said they were shocked to hear the news, because the alleged abductors seemed nice.

"Oh my God. Not right next door, because the guy was really nice. He was a friendly person and so was his girlfriend," said neighbor Yati McDonald.
