Woman Attacked, Robbed During Brazen Daylight Robbery

Cleveland police asking for the public's help in identifying a man wanted in connection with a brazen daytime robbery.

Officers released surveillance pictures from the Walgreens on West 130th Street and Bellaire Avenue.

Detectives said the man shown in the pictures attacked and robbed a female customer in the store's parking lot.

They said he was caught on camera before and after the robbery at about 8 a.m. Thursday.

The 25-year old woman was walking through the parking lot of the Walgreen's Store when the suspect attempted to rob her of her purse. When the female resisted, the suspect repeatedly punched the woman in the head and face.

Witnesses chased the man, but he made off with her cellphone. He remains on the loose.

The man is described as white, approximately 5 feet, 9 inches and 200 pounds. He had blond hair and appears to be in his late teens or early 20s.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the 1st District Detective Bureau at 216-623- 5118. Anonymous information can be given to Crime Stoppers by calling 216-252-7463. A reward of up to $2,000 is available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man in this case.
